“As we conclude the ALPS and DFCon Asia Tour, I am incredibly proud of the impact we have made across WUWHS in Malaysia, DFSICON in India, and ASVS in New Delhi.” Reflections from Georgia Krehbiel, MBA, CEO of ALPS

11. October 2026

October 10th 2026 – New Delhi, India – by Georgia Krehbiel, MBA, CEO of ALPS:

“As we conclude the ALPS and DFCon Asia Tour, I am incredibly proud of the impact we have made across WUWHS in Malaysia, DFSICON in India, and ASVS in New Delhi.

Alongside an exceptional group of international experts, we delivered educational sessions, multidisciplinary panel discussions, and hands-on workshops focused on advancing limb preservation.

From early identification of at-risk patients and the 3-Minute Diabetic Foot Exam to vascular assessment, wound management, and integrated Toe & Flow approaches, our goal was to equip clinicians with practical knowledge and tools they can bring directly into patient care

This tour represents much more than a series of conferences. It demonstrates ALPS’ growing global reach and our commitment to being a leader in multidisciplinary limb preservation education, connecting specialties, sharing expertise, and translating science into clinical practice across borders.

My sincere appreciation goes to the organizing committees of WUWHS, DFSICON, and ASVS for their exceptional leadership, hospitality, and commitment to advancing limb preservation education. Thank you also to our outstanding international faculty and colleagues who generously shared their expertise, and to Encoll Corporation, whose sponsorship helped make this important initiative possible. Together, we are building a stronger global community, united in our mission to eliminate preventable amputations.”

Kind regards
Georgia Krehbiel, MBA, CEO, ALPS

Three of the region’s premier meetings

The ALPS Asia Tour 2026 brought internationally recognized faculty and evidence-based education to three of the region’s premier meetings focused on wound care, diabetic foot management, and vascular disease: WUWHS 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; DFSICON 2026 in Bengaluru, India; and VSI-ASVS 2026 in New Delhi, India.

Supported by ALPS Strategic Partner Encoll Corporation, the tour highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in limb preservation and showcased practical approaches clinicians can implement immediately in practice. Educational sessions focused on early risk identification, diabetic foot assessment, vascular evaluation, wound management, and coordinated care pathways designed to improve limb salvage rates and reduce amputation risk.

Promoting the Toe & Flow Approach

A central theme for ALPS throughout the tour was the Toe & Flow model; integrated approach that brings together podiatry, vascular surgery, wound care, nursing, endocrinology, and other specialties to provide comprehensive care for patients with limb-threatening conditions.

Through symposiums, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, ALPS faculty demonstrated how multidisciplinary teams can identify problems earlier, intervene more effectively, and deliver better outcomes for patients living with diabetes and peripheral arterial disease. As ALPS continues to expand its educational initiatives worldwide, the success of the Asia Tour reflects the organization’s mission to turn knowledge into action and support clinicians in delivering life- and limb-saving care for patients around the globe.
