Welcome from the Chairs

Dear Friends,

We’re thrilled to welcome you to the revival of The Diabetic Foot Update (DFUpdate)—a landmark meeting in diabetic foot care, originally led by Professor Lawrence B. Harkless from 1984 to 2007. Returning to San Antonio in 2025, DFUpdate enters a bold new chapter, blending the legacy of its past with the latest in limb preservation, technology, and interdisciplinary care.

This year’s focus on the Charcot foot—a complex and often under-recognized complication of diabetes—offers a timely opportunity for clinicians to explore innovative strategies and collaborate across disciplines. DFUpdate is designed not just as a source of knowledge, but as a dynamic forum for discussion, connection, and clinical transformation.

Whether you join us to learn, network, or contribute your expertise, your presence plays a key role in advancing care and improving outcomes. We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio.

Warm regards,
