Armstrong, a distinguished Professor of Surgery and Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) at Keck School of Medicine of USC, achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first podiatric surgeon to deliver a lecture at a prestigious National Academy of Sciences event. The workshop, chaired by renowned researcher Dr. Rima Habre, focused on “Developing Wearable Technologies to Advance Understanding of Precision Environmental Health” and showcased the remarkable advancements made in the field.
