Prof. David G. Armstrong Delivers Powerful Keynote Address at the Palais des Congrès in Paris on Wound Healing

6. February 2025
Dr. David G. Armstrong, Founding President of ALPS and a global leader in diabetic limb preservation, delivered an inspiring and deeply impactful keynote address to a full house at the Journées Cicatrisations 2025, held at the renowned Palais des Congrès in Paris. Dr. Armstrong shared the plenary session with Spanish podiatric surgeon Prof. Jose Luis Lázaro Martinez and German orthopaedist Dr. Armen Koller, creating a powerful platform for interdisciplinary insights on diabetic foot care and wound healing.

Prof. Luc Téot, symposium co-chair and Professor of Surgery in Montpellier, remarked

The goal of limb preservation is one that crosses all borders, and there is no one better to make that message than Prof. Armstrong

Two cities, two fires, and two futures

Dr. Armstrong’s address transcended the clinical domain as he eloquently drew a poignant parallel between the fires in pre-Olympic Los Angeles and those in post-Olympic Paris several years ago. His narrative intertwined the resilience of these cities with the ongoing global fight against diabetes-related amputations. “The story of two cities, two fires, and two futures reflects the urgency of our shared mission in healthcare and our responsibility to protect lives and livelihoods across the globe,” said Armstrong.
