ALPS Founding Secretary Ryan Crews, PhD, Honored with APHA Public Health Advocacy Award

ALPS is pleased to announce that Founding Secretary Ryan Crews, PhD, has been awarded the 2024–2025 John and Janet Carson Public Health Advocacy Award by the Foot and Ankle Health (FAH) Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA).

Dr. Crews received the award during the FAH Section’s annual dinner held in conjunction with the APHA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, on November 3rd. The honor recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to podiatric public health education and advocacy.

According to the Foot and Ankle Health Section:

“This award is in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contribution to the practice and profession of podiatric public health education and podiatric health advocacy. It is given for accomplishments and tangible contributions that have elevated the field of podiatric public health, and made an impact on the practice of the podiatric medical profession.”

ALPS congratulates Dr. Crews on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates his continued dedication to advancing public health and improving outcomes in foot and ankle care.

Ryan Crews, PhD, CCRP, has received the 2026 American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Award of Excellence, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated outstanding national accomplishments in scientific, professional, or civic endeavors.
